Eligibility

There are no eligibility criteria set for the CSM certification. Any professional looking to further his or her career in management can take this CSM course

Following are the steps involved in the CSM certification process:
- Step one: understand the Scrum framework and lifecycle.
- Step two: attend the two-day CSM training course conducted by a certified trainer.
- Step three: pass the CSM online test conducted by Scrum Alliance.
- To pass the test, you will need to take the 50 question CSM test and answer 37 out of the 50 questions correctly within the 60-minute time limit.
- Once you pass the exam, you will need to submit a license agreement to the Scrum Alliance for acceptance, and a membership profile must be completed.
You can become a certified ScrumMaster® by taking this 2-day CSM® certification course and passing the CSM® exam. The course is tailored to help you strengthen your knowledge of Scrum methodologies and their implementation.
Upon passing the exam, you will receive the certificate within five business days.
If you fail the exam in your first attempt, the second will be automatically activated in your Scrum Alliance account.
If you fail the CSM exam in your first attempt, you can retake it immediately at no cost.
You will get the results immediately.
CSM certification is valid for two years.
You will have two attempts to pass the exam.
There are a total of 50 multiple choice questions. The passing score is 74% or 37 correct answers.
The online CSM exam can be taken within 14 days from the day you complete your training course and receive links to the online exam.
Complete 85% of the course. Attend one complete batch. Complete one simulation test with a minimum score of 60%.
The cost of the CSM certification exam is USD 50.

Stringent certification requirements are imposed on those earning their CSTs; all must be active contributors in the Scrum community, typically co-train with multiple other CST’s for knowledge transfer, and demonstrate a keen understanding of Scrum through multiple years of successful application in professional environments. As defined by the Scrum Alliance, a Certified ScrumMaster is someone who has been taught (by a Certified Scrum Trainer) the Scrum terminologies, practices, and principles that will enable them to fulfill the role of ScrumMaster or Scrum team member.
